The Fieldstone Legacy Series is a season-long celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, rooted in the history of the Nickerson Mansion just steps from your door. Think evening lectures, guided Mansion tours, handwritten letters, and cocktails pulled straight from the pages of American history. Evening Lecture Series

Pull up a chair and stay a while. Four evenings inside The Carriage House at Ocean Edge, led by resident historian Renée Dee and Cape Cod historian David Martin, Ph.D.

Each talk brings a different chapter of American and local Revolutionary history to life — and every seat comes with a heritage cocktail in hand. This is history the way it was always meant to be shared. Exclusively available to guests of The Charm and Ocean Edge Resort.

Step back in time through a Guided Mansion History Tour

Ever wonder what’s behind those doors? This summer, you’ll find out. Join resident historian Renée Dee for an intimate guided tour of the Nickerson Mansion — through its grand rooms, its Gilded Age origins, and the remarkable family who built it all. It’s the kind of experience guests talk about long after checkout. Space is limited, so we’d recommend reserving your spot early.

Sip the History with our Heritage Cocktails

Every drink on our Heritage Cocktail menu has a story — and our bartenders know all of them. From America’s very first cocktail to a Prohibition-era classic that refused to let the law get in the way of a good drink, this rotating menu is as much a history lesson as it is happy hour.

Available daily at Bayzo’s Pub, Ocean Terrace, and The Roscommon Room, all located on the Mansion side at Ocean Edge Resort.

The Charm on Main has always been a place that shaped remarkable people.

Long before it welcomed guests, this building served as home to the Sea Pines School of Charm and Personality for Young Women — a Brewster institution whose alumni went on to leave their mark on the world. Among them: Molly Guion, the American portrait painter who would go on to paint Winston Churchill, exhibit at Buckingham Palace, and capture Queen Elizabeth II in a portrait purchased by the Royal Naval Barracks at Portsmouth.

It’s fitting, then, that The Charm sits at the center of a summer celebrating 250 years of American history. The stories here go back further than most people realize — and this season, we’re telling all of them.
